Hi everyone,

I personally dislike the default look of the windows command prompt, so have customized it. Here is how to customize the windows command prompt:

There are two ways of doing this; the first only customizes it for this session and current command prompt, the second will make all command prompts as you specify. Here are the two ways:

First way (only this command prompt)

Open a command window in whatever way you like.(I use windows key + r) now right click the title bar or press the icon on the far top left of the window. Click properties, from here you can change most aspects of the current window.

Go to colours to change the colours of the window (surprise, surprise!) You can also customize the font – in a separate tab.

To change all command prompts like this, click the defaults option on the menu instead of the properties option.

Hope this helps in your endless quest to customize every aspect of windows!
